Your players, boxscored.

Boxscored is a free app for fans who follow players, not just teams. Keep a watchlist of your hitters and pitchers, see every at-bat drawn like a paper scorebook, get advanced stats in plain English, and set alerts for the players and teams you care about.

The flagship feature

Every at-bat, drawn like a scorebook

Each plate appearance becomes a scorecard diamond. The basepath fills in as the runner advances, a backwards ꓘ marks a called strikeout, a run scored fills the diamond, and a grand slam turns the whole box gold. If you've kept score by hand at the park, this is that, for every player on your list. Learn the notation →

The whole game, not just the score

Every game gets a full scorebook: both lineups inning by inning, the linescore, the plays that swung it, and who's left in each bullpen.

Player pages that explain themselves

Season and last-10 lines, advanced stats with a tap-for-meaning on every label, and a plain-English read on whether the numbers will hold.

Built around the players you follow

Not a league feed. Not fifteen tabs. Just your guys, and everything that explains them.

Watchlist home screen

Add the hitters and pitchers you track and their live, final, or upcoming lines are the first thing you see. Filter to live players, hitters, or pitchers, and page back through past dates. A colored ring shows who's at the plate, on deck, on base, or on the mound.

Illustrated scorebook Flagship

Every plate appearance drawn as a scorecard diamond, with classic notation like 6-3 and F8. Tap any box for a plain-English description of the play.

Full-game scorebooks

Both lineups inning by inning, the linescore, live bases, count, and outs, the three plays that swung win probability most once it's final, a win-probability chart, and a bullpen report showing each reliever's recent workload. Export any finished scorecard as a PDF.

Player pages

Season and last-10 lines, background (hometown, school, draft, debut), Statcast contact quality, fantasy points for each game, and a luck check comparing results with expected stats.

Advanced stats, explained

WAR, wRC+, wOBA, FIP, OAA, and win probability added, at no charge. Tap any abbreviation for what it means and what counts as good. Built for the Little League parent and the sabermetrics obsessive on the same screen.

Hot & cold streaks

🔥 and 🧊 badges show who's locked in and who's scuffling, with the exact reasons a tap away: a .350 week, a seven-game hitting streak, three rough starts.

Alerts for players and teams

For players: at-bat results, a pitcher entering the game, probable-start heads-ups, and end-of-game lines. For teams: lineups, every run, close-game moments, and final scores. Tune each player, set quiet hours.

Teams, standings & leaders

Division standings with clinch and elimination marks, the playoff picture, team pages with rosters and schedules, and leaderboards for hitters and pitchers, WAR included.

College pages

Every current big leaguer from your alma mater, or any school, on one page, each a tap away from your watchlist.

Share the moment

Turn a player's line, a linescore, or a game's win-probability chart into an image for the group chat.

Why is it free?

  • Boxscored is free while it grows. It's a one-person labor of love that costs about as much to run as a streaming subscription, and I cover it because I wanted this app to exist.
  • No ads, no selling your data. If keeping it running ever requires more than that, you'll hear it from me openly, not from a surprise paywall.
